National Public Gardens Day
Friday, May 11: 10-11 a.m. Join Sen. Bernie Sanders at the Healthy City Youth Farm at Hunt Middle School to celebrate National Public Gardens Day and recognize the 40 School Community Gardens around the state that were part of the 2011 Food Production Education VT Program.

Plant Sale
Saturday, May 12: 10 a.m.-3 p.m. 12th Annual Spring Plant Sale to support neighborhood gardening and garden-based education. Sponsored by Friends of Burlington Gardens and Grow Team O.N.E. at the Integrated Arts Academy (H.O. Wheeler School). The sale includes a wide selection of perennial flowers, herbs, and - back by popular demand - Ark of Taste veggie starts from Slow Food Vermont.

Sweet Potato Slip Sale
June 9 & 10: Champlain Valley Sweet Potato Slip Sale at Red Wagon Plants in Hinesburg! 10 a.m to 6 p.m. each day. Pick up some great plants for your garden; 100% of proceeds from sweet potato slip sales support FBG's garden-based education and outreach programs. Bulk orders available.

Burlap Bag Benefit Sale
July 7: Burlap Bag Benefit Sale at 95 North Ave. in Burlington (COTS parking lot) to support the Healthy City Youth Farm. 2,000 burlap coffee bags will be sold in 20-bag bundles ($20). 9 a.m. - noon with free Green Mountain Coffee Roasters iced coffee!

DIG! Day in the Garden
Day in the Garden! Join teams of volunteers in Burlington to work on community and school garden projects. Sponsored by Gardener's Supply and Anvil Knitware. More info coming soon!
