Six mini-grants totaling $2,825 were awarded to school and youth gardens in Burlington that directly involve K-12 students during the summer months. Mini-grants were used for improvements including raised beds, top soil, fencing, water systems, and signs/bulletin boards. Preference was given to garden projects serving low to moderate income youths. Special thanks to Ronald McDonald House Charities for providing funding for the Burlington School and Youth Garden mini-grants.
